How it works

Choose when to be seen, how to introduce yourself, and when to share more.

1. Make your profile

Get started by entering your birthday. LoveRing is for adults aged 18 and over. You receive a generated name and Critter avatar, then add your first name and gender. A profile photo is optional. Your exact birthday is not shown to other users.

2. Choose your connection style

• Stay anonymous · Free. Nearby people see your alias and avatar. Play together until you both reach 10 points to unlock an anonymous conversation. Your real details are shared only after mutual agreement.
• Use my real profile · LoveRing Pro. Nearby people see your first name and any profile photo you have added. They can start a chat with you without playing first, including people who remain anonymous themselves. Your gender and birthday stay out of discovery.

Change your choice in Profile & Settings → Connection style. Real-profile access requires a synced sign-in and an active Pro entitlement. Prices and available plans are shown in the app before purchase.

3. Decide when to appear on Radar

Enable Visible nearby and allow location access to discover visible people within 100 metres. Radar positions are decorative, not directions. Distances are approximate.

• While using the app. Location updates while LoveRing is open. Your last location can remain discoverable for up to one hour after the last successful update.
• Always visible. Requires background location permission. Your last-known location expires after 24 hours without an update; device restrictions can interrupt updates.

Turn Visible nearby off to stop updates and request removal from discovery. Other people’s existing Radar results update on their next refresh. Closing the app or revoking permission is not the same as switching visibility off.

4. Play, then say hello

Send an invitation to an anonymous person nearby. Once accepted, take turns choosing rounds from the six playable games. Scores carry across rounds and game changes. Chat opens when both players have at least 10 points.

Unlocked conversations remain available until ended or blocked; they do not automatically disappear after 24 hours.

5. Reveal only when you both agree

In an anonymous chat, Request profile reveal lets you review your first name, gender, age, and any photo before agreeing. Both people must consent to their current details. You can cancel a request or stop sharing later; editing your details clears your existing agreement.

Previously viewed details or screenshots cannot be recalled. Read our safety tips and use report and block whenever you need to.

Keep a way back to your account

Use Profile & Settings → Account details → Sync account to link Google, email, or Apple on supported iOS devices. Return with the same sign-in to restore your profile and conversations on another device.
