Safety tips
Your pace matters. You do not owe anyone a reply, a profile reveal, or a meeting. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
Nearby is not verified
LoveRing uses approximate proximity within 100 metres. Radar angles are decorative, not directions to a person. Location signals can be inaccurate. A profile photo, shared name, age display, or Pro purchase is not proof of identity. LoveRing does not conduct criminal background checks.
Control when you are discoverable
Turn Visible nearby off when you want to leave discovery. Closing the app can leave your last location visible for up to one hour in while-using mode, or 24 hours without an update in background mode. People with existing results see changes on their next refresh.
Even without exact coordinates, being shown as nearby reveals that you are in someone’s general area. Consider where and when you enable visibility.
Share less until you feel ready
Keep your home address, workplace, daily routine, financial information, passwords, and sign-in codes private. Stay in the app while getting to know someone. Be cautious about links and requests to move to another platform immediately.
Anonymous reveals require mutual agreement. Real-profile mode makes your first name and any photo visible to nearby people by choice. You can withdraw sharing, but details already seen or captured in a screenshot cannot be recalled.
Watch for pressure and scams
- Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or account access to someone you meet through the app.
- Be cautious of urgent emergencies, investment offers, requests for intimate images, and attempts to isolate you from friends.
- Stop an interaction if someone ignores your boundaries, asks you to keep uncomfortable secrets, or pressures you to reveal or meet.
If you choose to meet
- Choose a busy public place and tell someone you trust where you are going and when you expect to return.
- Arrange your own transport and a way to leave. Keep your phone charged.
- Stay aware of your surroundings, keep control of your drink, and leave if you feel uncomfortable.
Block and report
Report / block is available from Nearby, invitations, games, and chat. Reporting also blocks the person. Blocking stops new contact and revokes shared profiles; information already viewed and notifications already delivered cannot be recalled.
Follow report a concern for message-specific reports or support outside the app. Our community guidelines explain the behaviour we expect.
